The first of the Norse triolgy sees Xena explore her dark past once again. This time, she is reminded of a time she headed to the North. Got around a bit did evil Xena! When the Norse warrior Beowulf approaches her for help, she embarks on a deadly mission to face the consequences of another of her terrible deeds from her dark past.

We get Brunnhilda, Rhine maidens AND Beowulf..a mixture of a couple of stories - Richard Wagner`s operatic The Ring Cycle based on Norse tales and the old English epic poem Beowulf that features a young Nordic monster slayer.

Sofrina`s Summary
When Beowulf seeks Xena out to help stop a monster she once imprisoned, we get another fantastic glimpse into evil Xena`s past, this time as a legendary Valkyrie. Once again, Xena tries to shield Gabrielle from her brutal past as a vicious Valkyrie. And once again, Gabrielle defies her wishes and follows Xena, arriving at the battle scene too late. [Part 1 of 3]
