After getting thrown around in an attack, Xena has a series of flashbacks in which she recalls military exploits from her evil past...which echo the strategies attackers are using on a town she`s defending. Once again we see what the old Xena was like, but this time Borias has a different agenda. Xena is pregnant with Solon and keeping it from her men. Borias is a far more reasonable business man, rather than the bandit we saw in The Debt. This episode features the birth of Xena`s baby Solon, and we also see exactly how Borias met his end!

Notes:
It is interesting to compare the scene where Xena hands over Solon to Kaleipus in 'Past Imperfect' to the same scene in 'Orphan of War.' Refilmed but with an identical script, this version sees a much more emotionally wrought Xena. Mark Ferguson reprises the role of Dagnine, and again it is interesting to compare him here to the desperate villain of Orphan of War. Catherine Boniface was last seen as Meridian, Gabrielle`s first kill in The Deliverer - which also starred Marton Csokas as Khrafstar. The original actor who played Kaleipus, Paul Gittins, was back after the character was played by Jeff Boyd in Maternal Instincts.

Disclaimer : -
Borias` goose was cooked during the production of this motion picture
