Overview

[Season 1] / [Season 2] / [Season 3] / [Season 4] / [Season 5] / [Season 6] / [Season 7] / [Season 8] / [Season 9]

For many people, The X Files was well past its prime by season 9. David Duckovny's involvement was sporadic, Gillian Anderson was looking bored, Doggett and Reyes weren't really grabbing people. It is also hard to argue that there are a few so-so episode here. As an Annabeth Gish fan, I enjoyed the Monica Reyes episodes more than the gruff John Doggett. Also great to see Lucy Lawless guest star. However, by the time the series finale The Truth aired, it was about time! A few decent episodes as Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish were more comfortable in their roles. Burt Reynold's guest starring in the episode Improbable was fantastic!
