Story by new writers Joel Metger and Edithe Swensen

Xena, Gabrielle and Eve return to Amphipolis and discover the town deserted, and Cyrene`s inn empty. There is an odd spirit, and soon Eve and Gabrielle are suffering wierd hallucinations. Meanwhile, Xena discovers that her mother was burnt at the stake as a witch! Unlucky family or what! After a few more nasty experiences, Gabrielle ends up channeling the devil himself, Mephistopheles, who wants to enter the reall world and needs a drop of Eve`s blood ..(sounds familiar)

Xena goes to the spirit world to try and fight him, but her power to kill gods is no good there. She persuades Eve to cut herself and Mephistopheles arrives. He tells Xena that if she kills him, she will have to take his place as ruler of hell...but is he telling the truth? Can Xena take that chance??
