This was the replacement episode for the planned Sappho musical, "Last Chance". It retains a mention of Sappho.. For the second time we have an episode centred on Gabrielle's birthday. Xena and Gabrielle play pranks on each other while also saving a young girl from being sacrificed.

Sofrina's Summary
On the way to Thebes to celebrate Gabrielle's birthday, the girls get mixed up with a band of priests and the warlord, Ferragus, after saving a sacrificial virgin. When Aphrodite takes on young Genia as a protegé and Ferragus captures the flying "Helmet of Hermes" things get even more complicated. [Light-hearted comedy, Xena in drag, Sapphic poetry.]
